Very nice. Good initial impact. Like the moon background and the glitter like effect on the branches. Birds look animated like out of a Disney movie. Thanks for sharing.

Your illustrative technique here is very well considered and your idea pleasant as well as interesting. The image conveys the story well and all up, it works nicely and the end result is appealing. Robin

It seems that, in all your work, there is always something beyond the initial appeal that catches my eye and compels me to take another look...and another. Often it's in the details and that's certainly the case here - it those thousands of little points of light in the detail of the branches. I love it. Another lovely piece, Shawn, as I've come to expect.

The contrast of the colors here is pretty strong, so it can easily attract people's view. It's like a family, but it could be a love triangle as well. LOL. Anyway, I think the composition is balanced and the pose of the birds and the place of the trunks are very nice. The tree texture is interesting. It's a lovely artwork :)

Thank you so very very much for the beautiful review, ET! And you're right...LOL. From the look on the ones face, it does look like a love triangle :)). And the lower girl bird is sitting there saying, "Oh, Brother!" cause the other 2 are trying to flatter her, and she probably doesn't like either one of them. LOL. :) Shawn

This is absolutely stunning, MoonWillow. Another amazing composition. I love the blacks and greys with the white and gold highlighting. Very, very intriguing. Wish I had more than a five to give you.

I just have one question: it says 'digital art'--so that makes me think it's completely done on the computer, but, then it says mixed media. Does that mean you started with a photograph and reworked it? I'm not quite sure how this all works yet. In any event, it's a fabulous piece.

Oh, sorry Heather. It is a 2D digital painting. I listed it and then contacted Tom on a couple points, and changed the listing to 2D art. I thank you so very much for the super review. I really appreciate it :) Shawn

What a nice trio.
Nicely composed creation.
I feel that, as the tree branches are so well deffined that the birds look at little too blurred against them, the balance doesn't seem quite right.

This is so neat the way you have done it. I like the way you put the birds in the tree. The texture on the trees just glows. Great depth the way you have put the moon in this. The detail and the way you have used the space is excellent. A very creative and excellent work of art.

This looks like it could be a great scene in an animated movie. The differences in the faces of the birds and their poses are really nice. I love the light of the moon in the background and the detail on the trees. Great composition.
