What an interesting shot and technique. I can not imagine the patience and time it took to get this and certainly, the thought going into developing this technique. Good storyline to explain the shot. Very good.

Good photo. I'd love to see this at a much larger size. Did you use a flash? The black & White really adds to this photo. Good Work!

Thank you very much. No I didn't use flash. The photo was taken at day time and than converted to the negative version of black and white. I also played with exposure and light and some filters.

This is a very interesting rendition. I like the black and white contrast and the dynamic that you captured here. The reflections in the water are well captured, and the timing of the drop is perfect. Nice work

Like the b/w choice. Like the reflection and the rings that formed around it. I think the focus could be better though. Overall nice work.

Thank you for your compassionate review and your input. I'm not sure what you suggest. How could the focus be better? Could you clarify for me? [This is not a straight photo shot but a processed mixed media]

I just think the splashes could have been less blurry perhaps if the shutter speed was faster. Did you actually take the shot or modify the picture.
-
I actually took the shot an d modified the photo. These are raindrops, about 1/8 of an inch, falling in a about 1 inch deep puddle on concrete. The photo was taken with a handhold camera at daytime. I used some zoom. I took various shots but many were ruined by either the rain curtain or the water running down on the lens. Some turned out as the posted picture but were to mach in a sad lucking gray in gray. So I converted the photo to black and white after cropping. Than I converted the black and white version to negative. I increased the shadows and applied a diffuse glow filter. The reflections of the drops are real and part of the original photo as are the ripples in the water.

OK. Well nice work.:)

very neat stuff. I like the reflections and the frozen water it's beautiful. This is pretty coll the effects created by your processing. I think I might consider cropping off the top a little but very nice work.

Thank you for your kind review and your suggestion. I liked the softer and darker going background above but I will think about cropping it.

At first glance I thought someone was skipping stones across the water, I like the shutter speed you used on this to stop the water, very nicely done with impact and creativity thanks for sharing!!

Thank you very much. No these are no stones but 1/8" raindrops.

Very nice photo. Good detail. Good contrast. Converting it to negative was probably a good idea. Really nice reflections too!!

Thank you for your kind review and your input. I am not sure about your focus and darkness suggestion. This is not a straight photo shot but an processed mixed media. I increased the darkness of the negative convert in purpose before I used several filters on it.
