I love this! I am forever riding around finding 'just the right' object/tree etc to be a part of my sunset photos and you found it! Love the silhouette of the railroad crossing and the colors of the sky are beautiful. The only thing I would change would be the power lines ...but no taking those down...I've tried! Actually they work well here. Thanks for sharing

I really like this piece. I like the parallel lines that run through it. From the lines in the clouds to the power lines to the lines from the road. Love the effect of the sun peaking through the railroad lights. Excellent composition and tone. Beautiful sunsetcolors and textures. Well done. Thanks for sharing!

A great silhouette shot, with the sun just peaking through. The colours in the sky are perfectly captured and provide a great backdrop for the signal post. Well composed and framed. Nice job!

Wonderful silhouette and the colors in the tonal range in the sky is so beautiful. I would crop out the tree on the right hand side placing the signal at thirds for more impact.

Initial impact: makes me think - which way do I go
Creativity: North, South, East or West -- road runs at least one way and the train runs the other
Color Harmony: smooth
Center of Interest: the railroad signs with the sun and the tiny little star of the sun between the two lights
Technical Excellence: expert
Technique: expressive
Story Telling Ability: The question which way do I go -- forward....

I really like the colors and the depth in this shot. I also like the composition, with the little star of sunlight. I might remove the lines, and that bit of tree..it would be a bit more powerful, and give a lonely feel. This would also take care of being over centered. Donkeyoatey

Thanks for pointing this out. To be honest, I was so focused on the sun & the silowet that I didn't even notice the tree
