I like this shot and yes, it does show a lot. Like the lighting coming across and falling into the water reflections. Colors look good. The foliage nicely frames the left side. 'Enjoyed.

The focus is good and encompasses the entire frame.
To me the balance, and composition, are quit nice.
The colors play well together.
The light while being a little soft works.
I see a creative and skiled imagination.
I see a high degree of technical excellence.
I also see a high level of sophistication in the overall appearance of this image.
Also I believe that this image caries a capacity for story telling.

Indeed, this is a very good photo in terms of the transition from summer to winter... vegetation is dying yet some color is visible in the water. I like the symbolism there. I think the composition is excellent, following the rule of thirds and using the vegetation primarily as a frame. However, I think the lake could have been presented a little more creatively, primarily, use a tripod and a slower shutter speed so that any reflections in the surface of the water show up more smoothly. This shot could be extremely powerful with well-controlled reflections visible in the water. Also, vegetation is a little washed out and you could try playing with the saturation/luminosity of the greens there to adjust for it.
All in all, nice job. I found this image quite soothing.

You have captured some lovely clean water. However there isn't much of a focal point. I'm not sure what to focus on the water the reflection the plants. They are all nice on their own but seem to lack a thread. Thanks for sharing
