This is a lovely shot of the tree. I can see how the lights shined through th snow. It must have been a lovely thing to see.
Your composition, and frame is interesting.
Thanks for sharing.

Hey don't feel bad, you've become what is known as an opportunitist and you should be proud of that; but that is what we should be with cameras and opportunity shots. Good story, lighting, clear COI, and good composition also. If the tree would've been totally covered at midnight, would your neighbors thought you were haunted? Good opportunity shot you opportunitist!

I love winter when the Christmas lights glow through thick snow. Nice catch here, good composition, focus and lighting. I would love to see the pole removed from the top but I'm sure that would have compromised your photo in other ways. Nicely done.

Oh the magic of snow. How lovely a shot you have here. Reminds me of home! One suggestion would be to eliminate the telephone pole above the tree, making the sky blend in as if it was not there. Nice shot. Paul

I like the way you captured this tree. You framed it every well off the the left.
Exposure is a little off.
Would of cropped the wires on top of the tree
Center of interest is the tree
Thanks for sharing .Lou

Now that should be published. I just love the feeling this picture has taken. You have a great eye and great camera technique. Appreciate the good storytelling. I wish we had snow.

Christmas still seems to be around. The lights shining through have created a glowing effect . The slightly melted snow wrapping it beautifully. Excellent use of available light to spotlight the main feature. The little blossoms on the right have certainly weathered the snow to rise through it,to add their own quaint appeal. Good crop and presentation. The picture makes one nostalgic for Christmas.
