Amazing this totally looks like a photograph of water with the faucet and words creatively added. Great artist notes and very impressive that you could create an image of water using Photoshop that looks so realistic . Great use of the medium. The lighting is done well and enhances your subject.

Thank you so much for your feedback and the great review ! I am glad you liked this image and specially encouraged by the fact that the illusion of water looks realistic to you. I like the possibility that we have, nowadays, with some digital softwares (like Photoshop, After Effect and 3D softwares) to create this kind of illusions. Still, it may be difficult sometimes, specially when I want a somehow realistic look, and I am never sure to reach my goal ! So, receiving reviews like this one means a lot to me !

I will add some notes about the way this image was composed. The running water was made beginning with a black and white cloud filter on which I used a lot of other filters, then deformed it with the transformation tool and finally made some adjustments by duplicating the layer. I added some details with the brush, and made some colors adjustments using the brush, curves, levels and other adjustment layers. The splash was made with the brush, adding a lot of layers effects, duplicating some layers and making colors adjustments using a similar process than for the running water :)

Very creative. I love pictures of water. I guess since our bodies are made up mostly of water it would figure. I like the framing of the photo. I like the dropletts of water that are splashing from the ground. I also like the colors you chose to keep it calm and serene.

I am glad you liked this image :) I must clarify that there are no photo in this image : it is important to me since it is an entry in the Flowing Water Art contest, which rules allow digital art, but only if it is an image which all elements are created solely on a computer, and, so, do not allow the use of photographies.

I am glad you liked this picture :) About water: next time I would like to try something completely different, like melting ice, rain or ripples effects. One thing is clear, the right to use photos opens the door to a multitude of possibilities in terms of composition, which was not the case under the rules of this specific contest :)

I used to be so impressed by all that can be created with Photoshop and am still impressed. Thinking that one of my image could be an inspiration to someone else is quite flattering ! I am passionate about all that is possible today with image processing softwares. I encourage you to take the time to learn how to use Photoshop. I am sure you will love it even if it may take some time to learn it. This image was made with Photoshop CS3. I am not quite sure that it would have been possible with PSE8, but I cannot say since I never saw which kind of tools there is in it. Thank you very much for your nice review and good luck with your projects !
