I think you did so well that you should re-name it 'Happy Bench.' The colors are so bright and warm and reach up to the bench as if embracing it. Good job.

Corrina, This is a very lovely take on the original. I love the colors too. The bench may be " lonely" but it is inviting to me.

Love the vibrant colors in this Corrina! What a gorgeous pastel adn I love the reflected light on the back of the bench and the seat. The yellow really pops against the rich and bright oranges. Love the flowers and you arE so good @ drawing trees, they really arent that easy to draw! This reminds me of the fall or Halloween. Nicely done!

Thanks so much Michelle, funny you should mention the trees,I have come to realise I am a bit of a tree lover when it comes to pastels.I have recently noticed that they are the main focal point in all of them, whats that all about! Trees tend to come naturally for me, I dont really draw them it just kind flows if that makes sense, thats probably why I stick them in everything ;) You say they are hard but to me trying to sketch architecture really confuses the hell out of me, I find that really hard. Let me guess, that comes naturally to you ;)

You're very welcome Corrina, I totally understand how the trees just seem to flow and don't require a lot of thought. Maybe I should approach them more in that way. The ones I have done without thinking too much about are the best. My roots are in architecture so I guess you are right I find it fascinating and although drawing architecture doesn't quite flow as easily as your trees probably due to the perspective and proportions and the struggle to get them correct it does seem to come easily to me. I think it's a passion, if you are passionate about something if it doesn't come easily you push through it and it appears as if it did:) This is another beautiful pastel!

Yes, the lonesome touch is here, but this is lovely with its amazing colors. It reminds me of a state park I go to sometimes, that is all wooded and everything and near the water.

I thought I recognized this scene from a past image post. I love the bright, rich colors, the atmospheric presence you've created with your recreated scenic. It's very inviting and warm. Love the trees, your shadowing technique and the soft blends of your pastel applications.
