Definitely a teen ager, and a punk rocker as well. They are so sweet when they are young, but I think birds are in their prime when they are fully grown. Your focus is nice and sharp as usual and the use of light is good. The black backdrop is perfect. Very nice composition with good balance and with a sort of funny pose from the bird.

If three is what you think then ok but this is not below average! If you made a mistake you can change it!

I'm new here and your work is therefore new to me but in your notes I learned that there's going to be a lot more great photos of birds ! I'll have to check your previous posts cause this side portrait of teen age cardinal is so beautifully taken :) Would be nice to see a shot of the whole bird as well !
I like that black-red contrast in this photos very much and the clear image of the bird.
