Lovely frontal shot of this bird. I am sure you must have waited for him. Great colors of the beak shown through very well. The intensity of the eyes is captivating. And the styling of the features of its crown is really cool. This will be a winning picture for an Pet contest here. For sure!

yes willie. he's not as attractive as some of your other birds but he has a fine orange beak and he's a great subject for the fantastic bird portrait, you pull off time and time again.

You certainly can not get closer than this! Every feather is visible. The image is a bit dark in places though but thanks for sharing.

She seems to be saying "Just wait a little and the you won't know me". Good composition with black background to bring out the color. Good technique, technical skill and story telling potential.
