This is an interesting and amusing subject that is smooth and appealing, especially with the smile. The left eye is bothersome in that it looks a bit more bulbous (puffed out) than the other. My mind keeps wanting to correct it.

Thank you very much. You are very observing. We do not have that often. You are absolutely right with the eye. Actually the whole face is a bit uneven. That comes from the original mask. May that mask was a bit battered already, but I think it is more the fact that the modern outlandish versions are not nearly as accurate and sophisticated worked than their Venetian ancestors. Maybe I should add these facts add to my comments?

Yes. On occasion, I have adjusted horizons that appeared tilted but were not, simply because that is how they were perceived. That, however, is a judgment call that the artist alone can make. Perhaps it is preferable to educate people the way you have with me. Either way is acceptable. Thank-you.
