I can see why this won. It is a stunning work of art the way you have painted it. The way you have the stamen coming out of the flower is beautiful. I like the way you have the white petals and the detail that you have put in them. O like the way you have done the buds that you just see in the background. The way you have blended the colors in the background is excellent. A very creative, beautiful and excellent work of art.

Love the rich Autumnal colors of the drifting seeds but most of all I find myself really drawn to the fragility of the petals. Such beauty!

This is beautiful Cleo! You sure have come back with a bang! I love this! A simple yet very effective image. Really like the background with that mottled effect but to me the best bit are those petals. The whole thing has a very soft and romantic feel with a very slight tinge of sadness. such a wonderful and resonating interpretation of these words. i was not familiar with this poem but you have certainly captured the essence of fall and achieved such delicate shades of colour. really beautiful piece and would not be out of place in the national gallery.

yes a slight exaggeration (haha) but it really reminds me of some of the old masters, in those elaborate wooden frames.
