So this is all dots? Wow. Sort of like aboriginal drawings, only your dots are way smaller. This is amazing I think, and yes very impressionistic. Like the effect a lot.

Diamonds60,
Yes, pointillism takes along time, hour upon hours, but to me the end results is very appealing. I like that impressionistic feel, where tonal quality and light and shadow and the viewer create the cohesiveness of the artwork presented. Thank you for having stopped, looked and then left me your thoughts on my work. All you efforts in doing so are very much appreciated by me. The artist who invented this technique was George Seurat.

You must have the patience of a saint! To do this so wonderfully dot by dot! I must say the smaller picture looks so much better because this type of art needs to be seen from afar. Wonderful piece!

Nice seeing this style being used again. I really do like the effect it gives, like a very delicate impressionist painting. You feel like you could give it a slight breeze and all the dots of colour would blow away. Really love the effect and you have the patience of a saint to sit there and do this. How long did it take you?

Works for me, truth the computer screen is not really the place to view a work like this. It needs a wall and it need to be seen from farther away. Well I take the little picture version beside the comment box. It gives a better impression how it looks on a wall. Photographic detail isn't a question here anyway. I like both the colors and the composition. This darker almost circle around the clearing is impressive. I think the painting is an unique mix of personal style, influence of Seurat's pointillism with a touch of Impressionism. A very intriguing mix.
