You got a mighty pen there, mister. This is strong.Your talent is intensely acute and formidable where matters of conscience are concerned. Those eyes are so expressive.I'm melting.

I know what you mean about those thing with the commercials.... for me, I would rather go to a country my self, ask the person what they need and get it for them right then and there, that way I can see it for myself that those people are getting what you need. Sure there are some organizations that aren't a complete scam... but you just can't be too careful. It is a truth.. a horrible truth at that. As for this picture though, you have captured the feeling well. Your subject is one that invokes a feeling of sadness and sympathy but it also leads to a hope that one day there won't be people who have to face this scenario anymore.

First impression, poverty. After reading your statement elements you employ to demonstrate hunger are poignant. Tones and colors are vibrant and add to the telling of your story. For instance, choosing a green wall, an object that separates and to use this and color it green, the color of life causes me to pause. Moreover, beyond the subject is something that grows. All of that as your backdrop to the color most associated with blood, blood on the Earth perhaps? The tree that's growing outside your subjects confinement while clenching a can of food. Nicely portrayed! Contrast is excellent. Overall composition is pleasing and follows the thirds rule. Your subject causes the viewer to be drawn into your story. thank you for sharing. God Bless You.

This is great art !! This picture is absolutely shocking, exactly what it should be !! How the different elements concur to that effect, I do not exactly know, but it is very effective...and still very harmonious and beautiful !!

Can hardly stand to look at this image. So much poverty in the world. Unusual post for you. The colors are so vibrant for the subject. Perhaps a tad of grey?
Nicely done

This is sad but funny!
I read your author notes... how true!

Though this image to speaks volumes...
The colors are well used, the details on this image show you put time and effort into this.

The look on the fellows face is sadness and yet disturbing.
The child is standing outside of the hotel, or somewhere nice and clean. Makes me look at my and be more grateful for what I have... at least I have a can opener!
Just plan sad!!

Thanks,
Goldie

One of the first things that came to mind when I saw this image was the work of Gaehame Wilson, (I think I got his first name spelled right).
Sorry to hear about the old age though.Lol

Well put Mark and your visual is haunting, how true chuck him a can of food and all concience is clear, didnt even think about the can opener oh well carry on. Thats not me talking just me babbling about the thoughtless people that actually think they are helping. Your picture is haunting and will stay with me through out the day im sure.
