Chippy is a very handsome bird and he looks as if he is enjoying posing for you. Great clarity in your photo. The little bird has an acrobatic pose which suits the sunflower he is perched on. I like the brilliance of the colors and the dark background as it really makes your shot pop.

good title willie & useful notes to this super shot captured with your usual flair for composition focus details colours & lighting giving great initial impact depth & expression to this little fella-i like how he is poised here amongst the vegetation which is nicely highlighted by the sun giving a warm feel to the picture.

Nice shot. The crop brings the bird in focus yet enough of the scenery in tact to be able to tell that the bird is on sunflowers. Bird and leaves in nice focus and colors and lighting great.

You must tell me your secret how you get birds to pose for you, they HATE my camera.
This is nicely focused, crisp and clear, just how I like it. I love the light coming through the leaf. It is a shame the bird was partly in shade, but that's real. Maybe using a flash might have helped with the shading, though I appreciate you probably only had one shot at this. Final thought is I would like to see the uncropped image as I am starting to want more of the flower on the right and the leaf on the left. Nevertheless, I find this an appealing image.

Thanks! My long lens is in New York having some repairs made. I have been forced to use my portrait lens. The flash is great for the shadows but is a bit much for the other part. This is a tight crop because of the lens.

The shot is great with perfect composition. But the thing that disturbs the frame is that flower on the right. Just crop it out and your photo will be amazing! Deserving 6 stars...
