An amazing capture. Being there at just the right moment is half the battle of photography. Great symmetry. Colors and DOF in background is excellent. Well done.

I an SO envious of you right now! LOve this super COOL shot! The lighting catches some of that beautiful shimmer humming bids are know for! You also stilled those energetic wings with crystal clarity.
The bird in the background may be blurred. but this picture is about a story. The blur adds to the speeding glimpse of rivalry as these two dart about. I think the title is perfect. If I had a six there is NO question it would be yours! NIce to lnow you took it at 1000/sec too!

No! That is just the feathers on the other bird. They never hurt each other. The just chatter an chase each other.

My dad use to feed hummingbirds before he passed. They are fascinating to watch. You have really captured their beauty here. Lovely color and details in his feathers and face. Very enjoyable. Thanks for sharing it.

The background is very good. The second bird is properly muted and yet sufficient detail to be of interest.
