What a magical piece . The butterfly with its bright coloring and the fairies upon the resting canine. All of your items surrounding the doggie like the mushrooms , the fairies, the butterfly , the worm . . . they all work as drawing factors.

This is great, it has everything a little girl could ask for, cute puppy, fairies, and a butterfly, the colors are wonderful, so bright and vibrant, the expression on the puppies face is magic as if he has just given in and let the fairies have their way, great job,KIm.

Your granddaughter is going to love this piece. I like the look on the dogs face. It is like he's giving up barking at them. Maybe they will go away. The worm is a nice touch.

What's this the case of letting sleeping dogs lie!

Wonderful fantasy and who know dogs and cats might see fairies at the bottom of there garden and we humans don't.

This really is a charming illustration and would not look out of place in a children's book.

Well, your grandchildren are so lucky to have you as a grandfather. Gifts of this kind of special artworks are priceless.. I am sure she got so happy to have this one on her birthday:) The dog lying there with the little fairies on him look so content.. The colors you used are all so vivid, calling the viewer to play there be him an adult or a child:) Another great creation of sharpie markers from you!

This is funny and cute. Such good ideas and hope your granddaughter will like it.
He does look a bit disgruntled, with the fairies leaning and sitting on him. What a plague for the poor dog.
Like how we see he eyes up paws forward, surrounded by his toy and various natural things. Even the frog looks bothered, as if to echo the dogs feelings.
Great vivid colors that contrast well.
Like how you've given the dogs hair definition and the textures and shading used throughout.
Good composition. Like how you've used space.
This is fun and also a feel-good picture.
