My friend, as always, this is a wonderful image from you. I love the colour and that lovely rainbow in the background. The child makes me very sad to see her alone as Jesus cries. It is a bit disturbing that we can find Jesus on clipart...just a thought. Cyn

LOL I should have said that the picture of Jesus I got through stock photo nor clipart, but I don't see much difference in the two however, even in clipart you
d be surprised how many pictures you can find, its just none met the idea of what i was going for. I attempted to paint an image myself, but I can't paint faces at all, that's why the girls face is completely cover {LOL} and tome it would be an insult to our Lord for me to butcher a painting of him that was meant to touch the heart

A touching piece you have created here with the emotion of the little girl and the lord. My only critisism of this piece is that the technique of the face and the rest of the image don't seem to blend well with the drawn lines being much sharper and this less shadowing than the lords face. Otherwise great work.

Thank you Cassandra for being so honest with your review. It's positive critiques like this that make me a better artist. I'm not quite certain however what your referring to, do you mean the face of Jesus is too soft compared to the rest of the scene? I deeply appreciate your help and please forgive me for my late response

Yes, I think that's a good way to describe it...I'm a photographer, not a artist so I don't always know the terminology, just what is appealing to my eye. I would say the Jesus is more realistic looking and the rest more "cartoon" style. Does that help? I love the idea of it though.

okay now I understand. I have to say that the reason of course that the face of Jesus is more accurate is I didn't paint that LOL, not very good with people at all but you hit it correctly by saying the rest looks a bit cartoonish thank you so much for your help I deeply appreciate it

This is kind of pretty and
has a certain draw to it.I'm not going to deduct anything
but there are a few things I see that could be different.
In the foreground by the little girls dress,the diff-
erent texture of grass looks
out of place.Less white with
the rainbow coming down from the corner I think would look
better.I like the addition of the tears but the sizes are
just a bit big,especially on the girl.But then,you're the artist.Just my opinion~

Sorry for taking long to reply my friend, I value your opinion. Noticed the difference in the texture of grass after you mentioned it and I have to agree. The white in the sky ended up by me blending the rainbow a bit too much, I didn't want the rainbow to over power the painting

Thank you cannun for such a kind review. I didn't paint the girls face because I am horrible at painting people, so I did a bit of a cheat on this one and used her hands to cover her face instead. I have to agree that the painting would have had a better impact if I showed a bit of her face, then my artistic skills aren't that good yet, but I'm still trying LOL
