A six which I do not have. You are a standout on this site. Your work is different. To create a drawing with Sharpies is beyond what most conceive as art. Pencil and paint are normal. Sharpies not at all. I know you will never change. And that is just fine with me.

I remember Prince coming out in the 70s as well, and always like him,,It was a sad day yesterday,,love this piece of him here,,very nice.

I have been an artist and designer for over fifty years. I have seen many art forms that have grown into acceptance over time. I have seen other artist use these materials with impressive results. It is not the materials that make the art but the artist. This is a very difficult medium to work in successfully. All this to say I think this is a strong and powerful art piece! Congratulation!

Been working with this medium since 69..I know I am a master of it..its the medium that doesn't get equal respect since it is an office medium..I might bitch but came to terms that no matter what i draw I'm still a cartoonist and with decades of experience I'm proud of every piece I have done over the thousands..thanks for the great review

Magnificent art work. Love the colors, subject, brush strokes and tone. Big Prince fan and this art brings back a lot of memories. As a fan, I admire how you capture Prince really feeling the guitar playing of the song he is performing. Love it.

thanks so much but i dont paint..really dont even use any type of art material..im a sharpie/bic artist(office medium)..truly a fan would eat a artist up alive if they dont capture thieer favorite musician or movie star just right. sorry bout the beat up on the review but u can see what im talking about on the initial impact. i have had my tail handed to me in the past and learned thru the hard knocks over the years..im hoping that i can spread that knowledge with less pain and other like urself can blossom in ur own style and medium..the viewer is unforgiven..they will either hold an interest or yawn and move on..thanks for ur time and opinion with this great review

You ARE an artist! Anyone who says otherwise has a poor understanding of what art is: a person who is skilled at drawing, painting, etc. Doesn't matter if it's a cartoon or a Mona Lisa - both take talent. Your artistic representation of Prince shows genuine talent that most of us on this site could not reproduce (especially by using your chosen medium).

Great tribute to one of my favorite performers...Kudos:)

sorry thats the buzz i got over time from the art community and as i said i accept being a cartoonist and illutrator..im accept it and receive better reviews on them than work like this..so im cool. thanks anyway and thanks for the great review

Molly I do appreciate ur reviews but I don't paint..I do not use any artist material. My medium is an office medium known as sharpie or bic pens. So the right category it is a drawing. At the end of every review u wish me good luck..in what? I'm not competing in any contest and I still have reviews. Just curious something u know that I don't. Wink. Thanks for the good review

one of my daughters asked me one time if i was trying to be famous..i said " no darling, daddy is just trying to get paid" wink. and i sold this some years ago..thanks for the great review

Sorry, but I think this is great art!
I think you have captured an icon beautifully. I see and feel a love of his craft in his expression. Colors are perfect. He was flamboyant, it is captured here. He was an innovator and had many hats.
Though I am not a great fan I did enjoy his music and I think this is a wonderful tribute.

thanks..i sold this some years ago..its like selling puppies..u wonder how they r doing. and the girl who bought this i lost track and wonder if it is still framed or sitting in some trash can. bought it out of the blue..wink. thanks for the awesome review
