You really are an expert with layers, I'm just about getting my teeth into them! This is very good, nicely composed with excellent lighting on the scissors.

Really like how you have created this image and especially the inside framing. The colors are bright and clear and the hand draws attention. Nice gold and brown tones and love the sparkle in the image. Nicely done.

A great idea beautifully executed! I like the ay that you layered this and maintained the focus on all of the elements through your use of the inner frame. Great colours and blending. My only slight 'not sure' about this is the layering of the hand relative to the other elements. Nevertheless this is another wonderfully creative piece. Well done Annie.

The layering in this to combine the elements is very nice and really do fit the title of the competition. THe starburst where the scissors hits the rock is cool and the shine on the scissors look realistically like it is reflecting that light. Cool.

Very creative excellent work Annie. I am amazed you still have scissors that belonged to your grandmother. They look very rustic. Do they actually still work?
I like the novel way you have the scissors cutting the rock instead of the paper. Great thinking outside the box.

Thank you very much for the lovely review Angel. The scissors still work, and I use them all the time when I need to cut cloth. I used to make clothes both for myself and my children, but I am afraid it is just down to making curtains these days.

Seems we have a lot in common Annie. I also made clothes for my family before material got far too expensive. Now it is cheaper to buy clothes from large retail stores than make my own. Of course if someone needs something special I will still make it.
I also need to make new curtains for the bedrooms this year.

I have stopped making clothes for the same reasons as you, but I am still knitting because I like it.

This is very creative.
Great entry for the contest.
Great editing techniques.
Like the colors chosen for the scissors, then found again in the framing.
The lava look of the rock and the starburst effect as the scissors break adds emphasis to the title.
This is very well done.
