Yes, that is a good shot of fireworks. Very creative putting these 2 dancers in the shot, makes me think of the old big bands which I still love. You took the photo from TV, I didn't know one could do that, very creative. Good luck in the contest, this certainly is in the running.

Thank you so very much for the lovely review. It is possible to take a photo of anything, but it is difficult to get a really good shot this way. This one was not perfect at all, but I thought it could be used on a New Year greeting.

An excellent composite. I am most impressed by the dancers. I haven't tried taking a shot off TV in many years, but was never satisfied. Do high def TVs make this much difference? Any way I think it is very well done and the pose of the dancers is perfect for the fireworks.

I think this is quite an imaginative picture as there are a lot of variations on a theme you could do to this picture. Before I read your notes, I thought the dancers were maybe 3" figurines but you actually tried to take a pic of live tv.
I think your picture is spot on apart from the dancers as they are looking away. Do you have "catch-up" tv so that you could pause the dancers or maybe you could just go and buy some figurines.

Great clarity of the image, showing the design of the evening gown and its textures, as well as the suit of the male dancer. You've framed this artistically with that design at the corner.
