Very nice creative imagination for the contest. Very well composed with beautiful soft lighting with subtle shadows. Very sharp focus. Great exposure. Nicely done, good luck in the contest.

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Julika, but being me I would also like to know what you think can be improved to obtain 5 stars.
-
see the updated version svp!!

No problem. I sort of thought it was a mistake, because you are usually very good at explaining if anything is wrong with the photo.
-
I am just glad you pointed it out to me..someone else might just have gone away upset with me..julika

I don't usually get upset. In cases like this, I feel that I have to ask though.

I knew as soon as I saw this as a tiny thumbnail it had to be YOURS!
Oh to be able to take one of those lovely cups and sit across from you and have a witty conversation with some coffee.
Looks like bone china from the elegant design, I used to work for Lenox back in the day.
Love the lighting, the vintage cups and saucers and the lone single white rose up top. Lighting is what sets you apart from most here and the textured background is simply Fantabulous.
Clever set up with a touch of class and vintage elegance.
Well done!

Quite a balancing act here in composition AND colouring and if I may I would suggest however that the introduction of 'more' colour and contrast may have produced an even greater impact (only a suggestion tho') Cheers and best wishes

Thank you so very much for the lovely review. I had to be careful when I put these cups on the top of each other. Didn't dare to use more than 6 cups. LOL
Comment from Michael Whitson
Nice work!
I love the neutral colors on this and how the light is hitting the cups. Love how they are stacked. Not sure if I like the rose. It almost looks like it was pasted into the picture. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

Excellent! Love the light play in this, capturing the shadows and lines of the cups in a stack, excellent focus, great colours and depth. Great camera work, well done and good luck!

A super shot, I like the balance and tension of this stack of cups and also that the shapes of the handles vary. The flower on top is a great touch, giving nice light contrast to the composition.
Well done!

and the story behind the stacked cups and saucers is like a wonderful mystery. Who would leave such a beautiful rose behind? Was the a party of six stacked also only one didn't follow the rules? Love the story that only in the conscious or unconscious mind of the artist can we wonder about this stack. Wonderful. My fav.

I think what I like the most about your post is the nice lighting you used to create this. Coming in from the left and having the shadows cascade around your subject is well done. In still life 80% is the lighting
