This is a fantastic picture. I have no idea how you did it, but this is great. Send it to National Geographic! Beautiful!

Super shot! Great shot without the ring, but that really makes it a standout. Lots of detail in this with the foliage in the front, and fog and mountains in the background. Could you see the ring without the camera? Awesome.

Very cool shot. My only idea is maybe the angle of the lens and the direct light was in perfect sync to create this circular rainbow type effect. The framing of the palms with the mountains in the distance is a very mysterious and elegant shot.

I have heard of the "Green Flash" for years, but never seen it! It apparently has something to do with the sun coming to a certain angle like a prism, but it only lasts for an instant, so if you blink, you miss it. I have heard it is only visible on the ocean or great prairie. The plants outlined in black and lighter mountains add to the rare drama. An amazing shot!

Ah yes the old Lens flare or veiling glare. it is caused by light reflecting inside the lens, either from lens surfaces or from internal components in the lens.
Or we can just say it was Fred's Flare!
Makes for a unique title and capture.
Adds to the mood of the shot.
Nice Phenom Fredo!
=)

What a neat shot, my first thought is lens flare caused by the right angle into the sun. Like the colors, good silhouetted trees and well framed.
