The art piece itself is fascinating and you captured its environment perfectly with a nice slightly off center composition and superb color, clarity and detail on the door, its frame and the art work. A neat capture and so glad you shared it.

This almost looks like an HDR image because of all of those striking textures. Nice composition and a great capture. I love the vibrant colours. Whoever painted the picture is not quite up to your standard Annie :D Overall very nice piece with good impact, clarity and perfect exposure.

Can,t help but feel a bit curious as to why the owners would hand a painting on a door, unless this was an artists pad/home.
Was good to include the surrounding stonework and like the fact you can see the no14 in this, your a bit like me annie and i like taking quirky things on holiday or other times, also good to wander of the beaten track when visiting places...brian

Wow, when I first saw the door I thought that you had painted it and then used the door as a frame;) You're right is a very unique door. I love the rustic look that it has and I think that the little stones by the side of the door is so that they can tell if anyone has entered their home. The photo is well detailed, and I think the details are sharp, clear, well lite and you framed it well, getting ALL of the details of the door.. the picture is clear and has some great colors.. Excellent job, Annie that you for sharing and I am thrilled that you did:)

A fabulous find. I love the stone wall and the rough wood of the door. The painting is just a perfect splash of color. Looks like someone chained the door closed to protect the contents, but didn't feel so protective of the painting.

It looks like a rare find. A very interesting painting. It reminds me of an artist, can't think of the name. Was there a name on it? I like the wood it's hanging from. Pretty image. Nice shot and photo!

Perfect title and wonderful find - the door itself is fantastic and this old wall looks like 100s of years old -

you choose the perfect distance to the door including the arch and the step so we see the three dimensional real scene - great focus, DOF, perfect contrast, color and light adjustments - the painting is naive and wonderful in simplicity fitting perfectly to the environment - that shows us that artists are influences by their environment creating diversity

Even in Greece there are amazing differences in culture from Island to Island - stunning -A great capture of an outstanding door - well done

This is a wonderful photo-op. The painting is very whimsical love the colours in it. The stones places carefully at the bottom of the door..? Are they there as markers to see if they had been disturbed by an unwanted visitor ?,Interesting image to say the least. Excellent choice for the contest. Good luck in that.
