Interesting notes to go with this equally interesting image very well executed.
Love the dolphins in the background and the soft blues are very calming. The only thing that disturbs the peace and tranquility is the fork. With its sharp prongs it has the appearance of a weapon.
Well done.

Oh m, you are really into Greece aren't you, lol.
Beautiful mixed media work. Your digital Amphitrite is quite fetching, with her flowing hair and transparent cover.
Nice catch of the dolphin in the background!

Excellent and to me very complicated work to create this picture. Certainly shows great creativity and a real center of interest. Great colours, and a history lesson.

More than interesting, it is educational. Amphitrite and her offspring's are not much known.
Is there Delphinus in the background? I like that you included him. Beside being part of the story he sand his companion fill the negative room nicely. but we know you are a master of composition. The pastel colors seem adequate for the goddess. Her windblown hair seems symbol of the wind which often blows on ocean sides.
I seems a strange coincidence, I am working on a series with similar thematic, but this is not a usual theme.

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Cleo. It is Dolphins in the background. It is so many stories and myths about the Greek and Roman Gods. An ocean to be inspired by, and I am looking forward to seeing your work as well.
-
You're most welcome!
Sorry, for writing confusing in my review. I do see dolphins in the background. I wanted to ask if one of them is the Greek deity Delphinus, king of the dolphins and matchmaker between Amphitrite and Poseidon or some of Amphitrites offsprings.
-
No problem Cleo. I was thinking of the dolphins as Amphitrites offspring.

Thank you for the info. It works well.

Forever raising the bar of creativity and ahhhmazingness!
Cara, this is imaginative and very beautiful.
The way you blended Amphitrite in the water is impressive.
I am more of a fan when you use your photos in your creations but this is new and oh so magical.
Nicely done!

It seems a lot of people think I have not used my own photos in this, but I have. I have not blended the woman into the water at all. I took a photo of a young Greek woman walking into the sea for a swim. What I have done is to put a dress on her and then added another sky. And of course fixed her hair. LOL Thanks a lot for the review Sunshine.

Ha! First let me apologize.. So sorry, but what the heck.. We are all blind here! We PRAISE BLURRY OVER EXPOSED SHOTS so when we see something magical we are blinded by the awesomeness.
Sunshine bows her head.. Sigh..
Mi Dispace Cara Mia..
-
No problem. It sort of almost looks like a digital.
-
I examined it better, put my eagke eyes on and I see her arms and legs are real.. It was her hair that fooled me. So.. I am now More impressed and in awe.. Which now makes you even cooler! Sange bows to the Queen of Photoshop.. Topaz.. All filters..
You exhaust me! I need to go take a nap! 👊👊👏👏❤❤❤❤

LOL - If my photos exhaust you, you must be constantly sleeping. Perhaps I should post less to let you have a rest. LOL

WOW!! I never heard such detail in a story before as yours. Great idea and excellent details. Unfortunately I can't take good pictures with my 12 meg pixel FujiFilm Finepix Z70 Camera without having to edit the contrast, lighting, shadows, etc in every single photo! I like what you've done here, it's very creative and sharp looking.

The combination of the elements to create this scene is so well done. The creative feel of the dolphins swimming and the girl walking through the water gives dream like movement. The story line behind the scene reminds me of my ancient history and mythology classes in college. The soft colors and the variations of blue are well used to give the semi fog like feeling. Nice work.
