This is one of your BEST. THE CLARITY is Ahhhhhhhhmazing. The tiny details of the coral/ lace like stamens is Outstanding!

I am struggling to find much wrong with this. The detail, focus and light are just right. The DOF field keeping all in perfect focus. The background colour works very well. Now I have been looking it for a while maybe a touch tighter crop at the bottom just to assist the balance but that is only my opinion. A fist class image.

It was not hard to figure out who captured and framed this beauty. After this completion, I would love some pointers on shooting flowers. I've been reading articles on the net, and while I think my flower images are improving; images like yours immediately remind me of how much more I have to learn. This is just a remarkable image. The various coloration on the petals the unique stamens - really appealing. I'm confident it will do well in the contest. Kathy

It was not hard to figure out who captured and framed this beauty. After this completion, I would love some pointers on shooting flowers. I've been reading articles on the net, and while I think my flower images are improving; images like yours immediately remind me of how much more I have to learn. This is just a remarkable image. The various coloration on the petals the unique stamens - really appealing. I'm confident it will do well in the contest. Kathy

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Kathy, and also for the compliments. I always try to capture the soul of the flower, how strange it might sound. Then of course I very often use a tripod and manual focus. Then I take quite a lot of photos of each flower trying different angles and perspective. I am also very aware of the light.

Quite a fabulous specimen and you have captured its intricacies perfectly with superb detail and clarity and color. I really like the upper right positioning looking like the cluster if falling into the frame and you have left just enough space for it to do so. A tighter crop would not have worked here. The cluster itself has so much character with the main bloom and those engaging peaks of part blooms peaking out among the leaves. Great job and good luck.
