This image captured the moment with the white cat contrasted against the brown tones in the background. I think the image might be more effective without the greenery on the left. Thanks for sharing.

I really like this photo. Good catch with the cat on the stairs! Makes a lovely contract to the building and the stairs. (Soft, alive - hard, inanimate). Might have been fun to get down a little lower and shoot up the stairs towards the cat and the door. I've been trying to work more angels into my shots, so that's the only reason I say that. Love the photo!

Sorry, it's not the door that captivates me, it's where is the mouse !!
Great picture ! I like the composition. The image and title had me wondering where the door did lead to, then I spied the cat, forgot about the door and started looking for the mouse. The picture did its job for me - caught my attention and made me look/thing/appreciate. Thanks for sharing - Ronnie

Very good entry for the contest. I like the angle you used for this showing the stairs going up to the door of the ruin with the cat providing added interest on the steps.

Lighting and focus very good showing great detail. Very nice composition. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

A wonderful picture of the unique stairway to No where that once went some where & the cats not going to tell us as she enjoys the sunshine while watching a beetle... or something else only a cat can see it.
Beautiful composition, framing & lighting that not only lights up the cat on the stairs but also the rough texture of the wall up which the stairs go...could it once have been a House or Barn.
Artistic composition framing & lighting with superb camera techniques wit sharp focus.

A very nice composition with great colors and fine details. I like the cat and the battered door at the top of the stairs. Best of luck in the contest.

What's behind a closed door is part of the intrigue of the image. Following the steps up over the cat to the door works very well and your DOF is just right. I like the tight framing and the wall filling the side of the frame. The focus is good and gives nice clear detail.

The light is just right bringing out the natural colours in the frame.
