Those eyes really did it for me. They truly express the pain of a heartbreak that can't really be expressed in words. The heart shape against the gray background is very effective and it's interesting how the eyes do not reflect in the sea of tears below. You certainly have mastered the digital technique here. Beautiful broken heart a oxymoron if there ever was one. Eyes when in tears do look backwards come to think of it sort of insideout as you have them. Your heat wants to make this old man want to cry, lol. Thank You for sharing your heart.

the backwards eyes perhaps indicate that the eyes come from two different people. Perhaps this means that these two people are the same at heart; therefore, it is easy to assume that when one becomes upset, it would in turn cause the other to react similarly? This piece is definitely up for interpretation, which makes it very interesting. Great Job!

Sort of tells a story. One person is heartbroken over someone close to them is gone or not speaking. They get lost in the ocean of love. Like the blue against the red color. Nice job. Keep it up.

Very nicely done. It is so important that we "Get it out" so to speak. With this I think you may have had a bit of catharsis and the underlying issues have been somewhat resolved if not approached. I am probably off base here. This is what it says to me. Perhaps this is a work that "Needed" to happen. Well done Diane.

wow all that and I thought I was just goofing off LOL. your diagnosis however is no doubt pretty close. I am on high steroids continually due to severe lung issues and I had been on a rampage for some time and making my poor husbands life miserable, I even went so far as to tell this wonderful man of 38 years that I wanted a divorce. after speaking with my doctor he explained to me that the doses of steroids that they had been giving me in ICU for the past few weeks; and I had been in ICU 4 times in 3 months; were extremely high and causing my emotional roller coaster, needless to say I started out doing a card to say I'm sorry to him when this came out, so I think you're pretty much right on the money. Pretty cool diagnosis and I never even realize it. Humm, thank you. Run your diagnosis on me anytime, no doubt you'll find I do some weird paintings at times and have no idea where they came from, so you can explain it to me. so what do I owe you? LOL

An odd Valentine's Day card but with a strong message which the viewer gets instantly.

Good choice for background colour of sad and dreary gray which punches out the richness of red, the broken-ness and the ocean of tears. There is hop seen in those eyes that are full of sparkle.
