A kind like history telling shot with this old bell used since centuries for sure

the B&W shows perfectly the structure of this old building -excellent focus, - perfect contrast and lighting, your picture is well framed adapted to the form - bringing the bell into the focus point, good artistic adjustments, thanks for sharing

I find this to be a work of photographic and post processing art. It is rather abstract, but yet it is a genuine scene that lets your viewer imagine the story. Thanks to you for sharing the vendor story. At first look I thought it was in lieu of a doorbell.. I wonder why they fashioned a tin awning over the bell..."tin roof....rusted"..!? See if you can place that song! :D

I am impressed by your sense of geometric balance in this scene. Often when there are so many straight lines, horizontal as well as vertical, it is difficult to find the leveling guide. You have found it in the vertical side of the window frame for sure. I wonder if that was your immediate choice. Great job!

Your light and shadows in your B&W conversion are perfect for this rustic scene. The look of the old country has been sustained perfectly. I may have tried to denoise the scene..just a bit without losing the main detail. but that's just me. This is very cool! Thank you for continuing to share your art and your heart.

Wow Rebecca, your review is just so on point. Actually I did use the corner of the building for the vertical line up because as you so rightly noted, lines were running everywhere. I know you are one of the few who can 'see' the rustic old country feel that I wanted to show. Yes it could be denoised for sure, and that is part of the 'old feel' I hope. My only problem with your review is that you've got me burning my three remaining brain cells trying to place the "tin roof....rusted" song. Grrrr. I so need that last brain cell I lost somewhere along the line. But "wait, wait, don't tell me"..... I will get it ........eventually ; ) Thank you for sharing your insight. You know I find that so very refreshing. Thank you for being you ~ Steve

hint...a hit of the 80's...:D And you are most welcome, but thank YOU as always for our 'conversation' in reviewing each others efforts. You are awesome! Let me know if you don't get it. It was our high school daughters fav song!

Oh man...from the 80's. I was lost in and am still stuck in the 60's. This will be more difficult than I thought (or can think) ; )

" Sounds" like a leap into the past! Not sure I would like to be the recipient of the bell noise generated by this system! Your shot is well composed and very atmospheric of times gone by, well done!

an interesting image and probably made all the better by the black and white medium. I find the subject a tad plain to view as there is so much frame taken up by black what i see as a rectangular window...not exciting enough and not really given anymore excitement by the little bell in the corner..perhaps i would like to have seen the bell brought more into the limelight particularly as this is the main subject you mention in the description and its importance ..not the window !!

I like it. I like it very much. It is very creative and I like the B/W treatment and Great textures. The only thing I would recommend is adjustments to your cropping. I think the crop at the top and bottom is too tight to the window frame. Otherwise great photo
