nice capture. the setup is good. the capture of the light is great. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the flowers is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

Yes....your ROSE is glowing and I am assuming it was the flower itself that you softened, yes??
I do like the way you've positioned it so the light is falling on it in a very nice way. I also like how you've shown it on the wood floor....the wood strips make a very nice background.
Now while I can let the detail of the ROSE slide as artistic license I really feel the Baby's Breath should have been crisp and sharp. While I also like the way the light is falling on it it doesn't have the softness of the ROSE. I'm afraid it just looks like a very soft focus. I think your soft, glowing ROSE would be much more effective w/ the Baby's Breath standing out crisply around it against that wonderful dark wood floor.

Others might say that the highlighted part at the bottom left and black part below the rose could be eliminated to keep attention on the flowers. When my photograph of flower had shadow on petals like this, some professional photographers here in this site used to ask me to avoid it. My problem is I love such these distractions...as an enjoyable contrast of perfection and imperfection.

Thank you Joel. I really see this as more of a creative endeavor than a pure photograph. I just really think that some artists here are purists and have trouble seeing that photography can be an art form.
