At first glance I was certain this was a mixed-media photo. But after reading that you drew and painted this - I was stunned! Your use of color is what makes it beautiful, but it's the detail in the lashes that prompted me to give it 6 stars. Nice work!

All I can saw is WOW! What an eye opener! This is a show stopper. Not only is the subject matter presented in a way that makes you stop and look but the colors are just wonderful. I love the reflection of the lashes in the eye. What a great idea. I hope when I retire in 23 days, my mind can relax enough to begin to think creatively again. The best of luck in the contest.

This is drawn??? Wow! Your rendering is incredibly real, even with the unreal colors. The way you show the reflection, the eyelashes and even the little flaw at the bottom right side - it all combines to make this so incredible.

Thank you for the most uplifting review. Yes, it is drawn with the mixture of mediums. I learned this technique way, way back in high school. If one draws and colors negitive space rather than fill one can get a clarified 3D effect. I like the mixture of pastels and white out correction pens. Thank you for reviewing.
