This is a phenomenal capture of this effect of the eclipse. I never knew what Bailys Beads were until today. Your narrative is not only educational but also very informative and understandable. This photo is simply remarkable and truly a magnificent shot.
I was told that to capture an event such as this requires special attention to make your camera able to shoot it.
Your trip was definitely successful and thank you for sharing this beautiful and unique photo. Great work
Grace.

Thank you for the high rating and very nice comments you have given this one! It was a fun trip, I would have liked to get a wider line of the diamond ring effect but I just couldn't shoot fast enough! I'll have to wait until 2024 now! Might have to travel to Texas for that one :)

Its an excellent job you did on the solar eclipse Eileen! One of the better ones I've seen! Lovely the mystery that surrounds it!
Great visual and initial impact. Great center of interest and story telling ability. Good sharp focus.
Your lighting and exposure are excellent.
A thoughtfully composed frame that has excellent technique and high technical excellence. Very well done my friend!
Regards and Congrats!

A beautiful shot. I can see that the trip was well worth it. It might be nice if you posted complete exposure data. This is a well exposed shot and is cropped to perfection.

Thank you very much Mike. What exposure data were you interested in? I think the only thing I didn't list was focal length which was 146.0mm (35mm film/400mm) manual exposure, manual white balance Kelvin scale.

An interesting initial impact.
Impressive capture!
How'd did you know all those phenomena?
Creative concept. Innovative approach. Imaginative presentation.
Haven't seen someone post like that here...
Nice slight off center positioning with more space to the lighter edge.
Is that a smoke or mist or what?
Pitch black backdrop pops out the obscure subject's outline nicely.
Impressive Baily's Beads shot!

Thank you! I study the things that I like and try to learn as much as I can :) Those vapor looking areas are some of the wispy clouds being lit up.

Okay, thanks!
