A very nice macro shot of this flower. Good choice for the competition as it is definitely interesting with some great vivid colours. I think DOF could have been increased a little to have all in focus including the foreground. Good luck in the contest.

This is one of those captures that has both good and not so good news.
The 'Not-so-good-news'. Since this is a contest were artist info is not displayed, I can only make assumptions and presumptions based on what I see.
From my perspective I think there are 2 aspects that if tweaked might make a big visual difference in presentation. Lens choice - A 1:1 Macro would make huge gains in close detail and contrast. Next try stopping down perhaps f/18 - f/25. That would bring all of the stamens into sharp focus.
The really good news is your control over white Balance, it is magnificent.
Camera technique is well programmed. There are strong visualization of the petals crenellations as well as the inner veins.
The framing is very tight in order to push the central structures into the foreground - well done. The clipped petals are not of concern since this take is all about the center.
The splash of exploding red sets this blossom off nicely.
This capture is a pleasure to view and a joy to review ... B-)) Bob

Beautiful white petals , vivid red center in a pattern that looks like it was painted on , good detail in anthers and stigma, well presented allowing us a close look. Good exposure on the whites . Best to you in the contest!

Great clarity and focus on the centre of this exquisite white flower. Beautiful contrast in the colour of the crimson red and white. Nice lighting to show the fine macro detail.
For more impact I would have lowered the crop so the green gap could not be seen. However good capture.

This is an amazing up close shot of a flower. The colors are so pretty. I had to look really close to see the greens even further in and the pollen dust on the red. Great detail! Good luck in the contest!
