definitely a good macro here. Very shallow depth of field with the sharp focal point right on the proboscis. Nice reflection of the ambient light which give a special sheen. Best of the best in the contest ~ Steve

WOW that is quite a closeup view of the coiled proboscis. Amazed you were able to get such a tight shot. Shame the eye couldn't be as sharp as well. What kind of butterfly was this? The background color works well for the shot. Well done!

A very fine shot. I like the speckled eye as well as the coiled proboscis. The image is very sharp and the colors are excellent, but it seems to me it should be rotated 90 degrees clockwise.
