Linda, I have been looking atthis for several days without having read yourcomments. I kept questioning what it was about or why you had done it. Perhaps that is a comment that the piece draws interest and makes you think, but without your comments it isn't totally clear. I think it is well done and provocative. The various elements floating around and spilling out. Perhaps if they were more representational, we would understand they are lost memories. The eyes are haunting in one sense. The piece is well constructed and executed, and can be taken at face value or with greater depth.

Yes. Indeed you have taken up a challenging task of depicting the human misery brought about by this disease. The painting catches the eye balls with its bold colours and the sad expression on the face.Good luck in the contest!

Linda, I think this painting hits the "dementia" feel on the head.
I had a mother and brother who suffered from this. Others cannot know how this feels than the actual person themselves. And they cannot express it . We can only care for them the best we can.
Your colors here show the affliction as it is.
Well done.

Perhaps you could also name this "Feeling Blue"! Actually your painting makes the memories look quite interesting! I wonder if this is about not being able to remember, or about painful memories. It looks a bit like partial amnesia to me; I had retrograde amnesia for some time after a head injury, so that is what I am thinking of. Have fun! Daphne Oberon

Very nice funky piece, I love it so much. I think the blue for the skin was a really good choice, it's interesting and connects emotion to here. Just excellent work.

This is a great entry for the contest - good luck. Read your story notes and I can sympathize - my wife has an atypical form of Parkinson's.
Love your choice of colors and your technique is superb. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear of your relatives suffering from dementia. I always fear that will happen to me and I won't remember my kids someday. To me that is the sadest thing that could ever happen to me. I love what you have created here with the blue figure on the darker blue background. I like the fallen memories that are coming out of her head. This is a very creative and colorful artwork that has a HUGE emotional impact. It is so well done and the design is awesome. This packs a big punch. Love it.
