Pat,
A beautiful & interesting picture of this "House Boat" moored on Homer spit. Looks the sort of boat Children could spin stories of Pirates about? Beautiful composition, framing & beautiful natural lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Bet he is an old seafarer! He must be some kind of daredevil living on a boat that could fall apart at any moment!! Your interesting image is well composed with good exposure and sharpness. Nicely done!

Thank you so much! He told me that he had a dream to restore all of the old boats, I was surprised that he lived inside of this one!

How interesting. Your notes tell a great story. It is always so fascinating to see how different people live. I am sure that this old ship has everything the owner needs to be comfortable year round.

Nice POV with good colors and details. This was a fun one. Thanks for posting Pat ~ Steve

Awesome! Love this vintage boat! Such character it has!
Great angle, Superb focus, crisp details, great, exposure and fab POV.
Love the orange gold of the grasses framing out the boat.
I see the blue bus in the distance. I hope you were able to get a close up shot of that as well.
Nice work Pat!!!!

A great shot even if it is not the most luxurious yacht in port. A well composed shot with great detail in the boat and beautiful colors.

I don't believe you live in Alaska; but rather, in photo opportunity heaven. Many years ago while watching the "deadliest Catch" I said I wanted to go out on one of those boats. I did manage to get it checked off my bucket list, even though we were in close and not in the Bering Sea. Looking at this "home" gave me a jolt and some great memories of living temporarily on boats while fishing the Great Lakes in Michigan. It's a great shot as always. Thanks for the memories.

Thank you so much Charlie! I?m glad this brought up a memory for you! I did follow that show for a while, those guys work so very hard ! I actually photographed the Time Bandit a while back! It?s docked in Homer!

I would have loved to have been there. I was on the Aleutian Ballad.

We would love to be in Homer right now, but they are battling a serious wildfire on the highway that takes us there, making it unsafe to travel through.

WOW! This is really neat and very interesting, I bet this guy has it rough in winter but if he likes it I guess all is well. I like seeing things that is so different. Well done!

Thank you so much Willie, Winters in Homer aren?t that bad, it?s south of Anchorage, and pretty mild.
