It will never cease to amaze me how these teeny creatures don't freeze to death. Yes, I know their wings. I feel the same way about the endless homeless littering our streets. I look at the wet quilts and just don't know what to think, when every Slovakian, etc gets free housing, free benefits, free everything and only landed to see what they could syphone from the system and are mainly criminals escapeing justice from their own county. One I know, Wasyl, near my home, murdered a woman in a robbery just before coming her a short while ago. And rapists, well- and murders of longer time ago...!!! Make sure your police doesn't get too soft. My cousin in Chicago was a strict cop, and left because it was commented on. I am happy to hear he is back..

Good composition of the last
viewing of the bird as winter sets in. Good focus and clarity.
Like the placement of the bird on the limb. And, viewing the details of this interesting and lovely bird. The gray background with the few berries adds to this overall peaceful photo.
Nice shot.

How can I not give you a 6for such a stunning capture of this beautiful bird. The composition is simply brilliant and this is one of my favourites that you have submitted and all your submissions are brilliant. The whole presentation speaks "Delicate" from the tiny dots of snow to the tiny red berries and the tiny stripes of colour in the plumage. The space you create to the right of the bird is perfect..overall ..love it

You have pictured this Waxwing so well Pat, and I especially like that we can see the snow falling. I also think the bird is posing for you in such a lovely way, and it is of course also standing out from the background in an excellent way.

The photo is nice and sharp showing clear and well defined details in every part of the bird, and the exposure is perfect.

The format you have cropped the photo into works really well, and the bird has got a fine placement off to the left. A truly pretty and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

A very nice shot. I like this rear profile a lot. The flat light gives you fine details and even a catchlight in the eye. I like the falling snow and the great colors.

Pat,
A beautiful picture of this Bohemian Waxwing snow falling around it as it finishes off the berries on the Rowan Tree. It's head turned looking over it's shoulder watching you below. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
