Because there is only two colors in this and they compliment each other it works so well,simple image but comes of really well,good one for the contest...Brian

I really love this Nik. It is quite different to other images you present. The clarity in the purple flower is wonderful and I like that it is off centre. The shades of green in the leaves or the sunlit grass is is very harmonious to the eye. Sometimes the simple images are the best!

Nice depth of field, but could have been a closer shot to better fill the image. The flower is so symmetrical that it would lend itself well to a closer and well balanced shot.

An extremely colourful presentation of a single bloom, Well lit and good DOF with blurring of foliage in backgorund gives good definition of central bloom.

Good background, but a little of bit distracting ( for me, at least ... ), nice colors , the flower is sharp enough , nice details and subject, the lighting is very good . Good luck in the contest !

This Allium is indeed beautiful. The purple color of the cluster of blossoms is superb. Your photo has good depth and is excellent focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. The photo is expertly composed. The Allium is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
