Outstanding photo of the beautiful dog. The fur in various colors is well done. The face and his expression are so spot on. That eye is bright. Background is different, fine. Your dog is beautiful. It seems that he is looking at you. His adoring expression is impressive. Your photo has good depth and is excellent focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail and textures. I can almost feel the silky hairs of his fur. The portrait is expertly composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

Catch light in the eye. Did you use a flash? What ever the background is it fits the photo. Please just tell me how you created this shot? Thanks

Sorry for the delay in responding but Thank You! I so appreciate your excellent review, high rating and questions!!!
I didn?t use a flash - this shot is on my back deck and that is the background that you see (I did blur it just a bit so that the textures didn?t compete with the dog). The lighting is late afternoon sunlight slanting across the deck and I had my husband sit where the light was best and I was lucky!! I take all of my photos in RAW so I converted this with a program called ACDsee and then I finished it with a look in Topaz Lens Effect called Fur and Feathers that helps bring out textures. I finished with the black border.
