Hi Jewell, Talk about sitting there all day and enjoying the view! Love the beautiful waves in your image. I love the sound of them to, there is nothing more relaxing. I especially like the simplicity of this photo and the beautiful green/blue colors of the ocean. The incoming waves are captured so well, and I like that a bit of sand is included in the foreground.
It is a sharp photo with clear and well defined details, and the exposure is spot on.
I also like the square format you have cropped the photo it. I think this is a lovely and well taken photo Jewell, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

Early or late in the day are the best times to shot without glare or reflections. The construction of the scene is well balanced to the 1/3 2/3 rule. However, I do break this rule from time to time. :) The color of the sea is gorgeous and the waves rolling on shore turning into froth. Nice shot.
