A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of those very beautiful blooms. Colours, textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

These attractive purple asters bloom in my state, too. They are not easy to photgraph well. Some of your blooms are in perfect focus and others are a bit fuzzy. Some have bright yellow centers and others have brown ones that look like decay has set in. I see a mass of green leaves in the middle that almost looks like weeds. What this photo lacks is a focal point. Right now it's a mass of blossoms that looks a little messy. If you see a butterfly or bee, focus on that small group of flowers, which will give the viewer something more interesting to see.

This is a pretty shot of this group of flowers. You nicely used the Depth of Field concept. Great color, contrast and detail. Simple but yet very appealing.

September Asters arrayed in a Fibonacci sequence.

I see a well thought out composition both in frame placement and technical acumen.

When I first saw this take I gauged the image to be a very well done piece of standard photography, because the flower petal colors seemed so accurate and the background bokeh looked natural. Looking again I noticed that the central structures of the flowers were soft.

Personally I rank this piece among a very few HDR takes that accurately reproduces color with a high wow factor. But alas, the trade off has been and still is a loss of fine detail.

I suppose in the end it all comes down to whether or not the image before you is what you wanted. And if it is, what does it matter what vehicle got you there.

As a practicing technocrat the strength of this piece in my mind will always be the image of a mathematical constant rising above a background of chaos ... Bob

You focused the camera on your subject quite well. I only suggest that the flowers in the background should be out of the picture a little more to direct the attention a little more on the flowers in the foreground. Overall, I think your image is great!

These purple asters are so lovely, and you have pictured them so well. The light is falling on them in a lovely way, and even it the background is a bit busy, all the flowers are standing out well.

The photo is sharp showing clear and well defined details in all the flowers, and the exposure is perfect. The HDR treatment has also worked well.

The almost square format you have cropped the photo into has worked well, and I like the way the flowers are filling the frame. It is a lovely and well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.
