This is fabulous my friend! It's a wonderful entry for this contest!
The lighthouse is so well created with nice shape and structure, I like also its placement within this scene, I like the tall trees out on the left and the large rocks placed throughout the scene. The gulls in flight bring life and I like the way they are flying just above the ground and water , they must be searching for food.
Good show of the shoreline and the sea has a dreamy look , like a storybook .
This is well created , with well chosen and applied colors and tones.
Beautifully arranged and presented!

This is so beautifully done I would have awarded a 6 but none keft. I think the original in oils willbe wonderful to see. There is so much to like in this scene. Your skill comes through, it has realistic vibes within natural traditional art. The colour pallet is a fine mix. Overall a fine fine piece of art.

Wow Glena this is a stunning work of art! And it's an oil, not a watercolour as I'd first thought, so I take my hat off again, oils are not easy to work with!
I particularly like the lighthouse, which you've painted exceptionally well, and the seagulls dipping and swooping.
The colours are truly lovely and so natural looking and your composition, with the curved C of land is perfect.

Thank you, artist friend Charlotte. Your words were so sweet and encouraging and a real blessing to me and that "6" is so special. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I used to work with traditional oils until I couldn't tolerate the cleanup, had to go to water soluble but they are more difficult. I'm trying to go back to oils with a different solvent (walnut oil, asap). My best works were in oils and watercolors. I hope I can get back to them and do well.
