Hi Linda, What a beautiful Christmas card! Love the detail in this. Every shadow was perfectly created. Love the warmth and love this emits. I don't know if this was a recreation of a statue or painting you saw, or it was something you saw in your mind's eye. No matter where the idea came from it is truly beautiful work. When I saw the thumbnail of this drawing, I did not need to open it to know who the artist behind it was. I am sure it is no other member on this site who can create such beauty. This is such a tender scene of the most famous mother and child in the world, and you have pictured them so well.

I especially like the way you have used the light, and also your exceptional payment to details. I also like that the background is all neutral.

The format and framing is perfect, and it is a very good balance in the composition. Indeed a beautiful and well done drawing Linda, and I wish you luck with the contest.
