OMG, how could you not give this a 6 rating!!! Outstanding in so many ways. The composition is superb. The reflection is amazing. The depth is fabulous, starting with a sedge near ending with a distant mountain.
The cloud patter adds additional interest.
I just have to change my rating from a 6 to a 10 (allowed or not)
A real pleasure to review.

Outstanding!! I can easily see this image on a postcard, card, calendar and yes, printed on aluminum this scene would rock!!
I don't know how you did it, but the sky has a painterly feel to it (ever so slight). The contrast is perfect. The colors are vivid and spectacular. The reflection in the water is clear and amplifies the mere essence of the adjacent mountain(s).
Technically - duh - it makes no sense in even go down this path with a professional photographer. Camera settings was definitely dialed in!
Your position / angle of the shot, as well as your frame for the image - allowed those clouds to become part of the scene, which adds even more interest to an already aesthetically pleasing presentation.
I could really benefit from your experience in shooting landscapes. I take them and struggle to make them as beautiful as what I intended. Example - out of raw, I would have seen the grasses in the water (foreground) and would have deleted the image. But you have presented the scene with the foliage emerging from the water and it looks simply great and adds even more realism and nature to the image. LOL - I'm my worst enemy and will have to learn via your post to "Settle Down" and accept mother nature's art.
I hope that made sense :o). This is gorgeous Pat, and I can only aspire to post a landscape this beautiful someday.
I've never asked... Do you show your work in any galleries in Alaska?

Hi alaskapat
What a riot of deep colours! This is just perfect and the reflected symmetry doubles the pleasure for the senses. Love the snow caps and clouds in particular

This view is more than amazing. I love the prominent reflections, the snow capped and earth tone mountain, the pristine water of the river and the even the blue sky. Clarity of textures and layers of contrasting colors. You are so blessed to live so close with this kind of view, Pat. This is well captured.

A good looking nature image presented here! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us a very enjoyable view of your beautiful location. Possibly a little over-saturated? Nicely done!
