Looks like a bird of paradise flower and this spider looks awesome and one you would want to keep a distance from,vivid colors in this and should do well in the comp.....Brian

in person, the spider is amazing , it appears to be quite large . It couldn't have chosen a better flower , that bright orange petal showcases the spider so well .

The spider is so well captured with spot on focus, this image is sharp and clear and your exposure is perfect, all colors and tones appear natural. You have brought out such well defined detail in spider , look at its legs !
The vignette works to hold the viewers eye on the spider.

I think this is an even better photo than the one you posted recently of the green spider. The orange petal of some sort of flower still looks like flame, but I like that we can see more of the purple/blue part of it.
The spider is also sharper and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of it. The exposure is spot on.
The tall format is perfect, and the vignette you have added works well. I think this is a great looking and well taken photo Steve, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.
