Wow! I never knew you were a voyeur! Hehe
What a fantastic capture, Nancy. I love it when the surprises happen like this! I wonder if butterflies are like birds with male and females having different colors.
Great job, my friend. Good luck in the contest!

Hi Jewell, I'm not a voyeur! LOL In this case, there was no way I was going to pass up these lovely butterflies. There might be a difference in male and female butterfly colors but I don't know what they are. I know when it comes to moths the male has a feathery antennae but the female doesn't. Thanks for the great review! I'm glad you enjoyed! :o) Nancy

What a lucky situation to come across and to be able to photograph it!. Very well presented; focus and clarity are excellent, showing beautiful details and colors. Of course, they stayed in one place long enough for you to get the shot as they were otherwise occupied! Nice capture!

Don't you just love when you stumble upon wonderful little situations like this and you happen to have your camera on you for a change? Congratulations, Nancy on having the camera with you. It's a wonderful shot and portrait of these two mating Giant
Swallowtails. Lately we've had them hanging around here in South Florida too. I like the way you filled the frame with the focal point which of course, is sharply focused and has terrific light and exposure thanks to your expert technical skills. Thanks for sharing.

Nance, I can just imagine how thrilled you were upon realizing that these were mating Swallowtail butterflies. I like the vivid details like the patterns and diversity of colors in their wings. The colors looks authentic and free from digital touch, too. Excellent angle, focus, and lighting. You've also framed this well by showing their habitat with green grasses. An intimate nature scene. Great job!

Hi Nieves, I didn't want to change a thing with this one as far as the butterflies were concerned. They are totally natural. The only thing I did was crop the image, cut and save the butterflies, lighten the grass and re-apply the butterflies just as they were. I'm glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the great review! :o) Nancy
