A truly remarkable oil painting. I am a lighthouse freak who has photographs of every lighthouse on the east coast of the USA. Great composition with the lighthouse, water, sand, and beach grass. You have it all, and it al works beautifully together.

This painting has a soft feel and focus to it,

It is filled with luminosity of light,

Nicely framed view with interest,

Nicely balanced colour tones,

Quite good centre of interest,

Natural looking scene,

Perhaps the addition of some small detail near the central upper area may help to keep the eye interested in some detail eg. an object with a contrasting warm tone, stronger form or contrast on the lighthouse, or an additional detail like a flower or something in the foreground.

Nice brush work to the grasses.
