I think this is a great photo. She is indeed a pretty lady, and you have given her a nice composition. The color of the ?fern? is a nice compliment to her racing stripes. The lighting is good. The upper left corner is a bit distracting, but I don't think you could crop much without losing the overall balance.

Thank you so much for your helpful review. You are right, I cant crop the left side. I tryed it. the photo isn't only losing balance it also loses the "wilderness" look. It looks as is the photo is made in a terrarium. [The green is not a fern. It is a Norfork Pine Tree]

Lovely, cleo.

A real charmer.

Love the greens of the snake and what appears to be a Spruce tree.

A nice slithering with the pose and the uplifted head, and the eye that appears to be on you.

Nice contact, sharp shot, and interesting angle.

Thanks a lot. Yes the eye was on me. But believe or not: I think she knows me and know she is save. She shows herself very seldom and never when other people are around.

    Thanks for your generous review.
No need to run. She is harmless and she eats mosquitoes.

The snake sure does look very interesting with the fine pattern on the skin. You did well in capturing this photo with supersharp focus and awesome details. The blur background does wonders for your green lady as she seems to have 3D effect. Well composed frame. Well done and thanks for sharing.

This beauty is also very elegant. Nice capture, good colours. Focus is equally sharp on the branches on the right, which draw my eye, so I'd crop on that side but also at the bottom and the left, so the snake's head stays around 1/3 away from the left hand border.

Thank you for your throuought review and your helpful suggestions. I'm going to crop on the right but not around. I tryed as you suggested on the left but wasn't satisfied. The snake looks very good this way but it looks a little too good. It looses the 'wilderness atmosphere' It looks like in an aquarium. This prise was to high for me. I hope you aren't offended I still appreciate your toughs and time very much.

    Hello
Of course I am not offended - I believe a review can and should offer a different perspective but the original photographer ultimately should be the one to decide how to present their own work.
    Best wishes

Great job, great picture.
I really think you have caught the snake wonderfully well.
The two colour greens work well together and focus spot on.
Good job done

The focus on her is fantastic and she is absolutely beautiful. I like how her nose is defined in the lighter area. Great photograph but maybe crop some of the left off so there is not ao much out of focus space.

Thank you so much for your generous review. I tryed the cropp you suggested but wasn't satisfied. I may cropp some on the right.

Great snake image. Snake is sharp, a wonderful emerald green and well delinated and a from the soft background. Like the way that the bottom branch mirrors the snake shape. Not sure if I would of cropped a little on the left.

Your very welcome. I just wondered if it would work - did not think so and I did not consider it a fault. Just wondered.
    Great picture.

You are too funny! I had to laugh at your story behind the photo. This "Lady in Green" may be a beauty, but she would scare the bejesus out of me if she slithered down the branch of a tree that I was sitting under! LOL!

This is a very interesting composition because it is totally unexpected. Snakes are not my favorites things, but I have to admit, she is pretty with her emerald green skin and gold eyes. Great texture from the trees and the skin of the snake. Thanks for sharing this interesting shot. Good luck in the contest.

Don't worry, She wouldn't scare you slithering down the tree. She never shows when we have company.
