Nice shot of merciless water. I like your notes. Very interesting. I love the green colour of the water. Powerful waves. The sky is very unusual.
Good luck in the contest!

Thank you Steffie. The green is what has made the Caribbean famous. The sky is cloudy and hazy. It is very early in the morning. The sun is just up over the horizon illuminating the clouds.

this is nice with all the different colours running through it, the browns of the sand really stand out. imo i would have liked more contrast in the sky as it seems a little washed out, but in saying that it does help to make the wave stand out so not to much of a bad thing lol, over all a nice wave shot and thank you for sharing it :)

Thank you very much. Sorry the sky did have the color naturally. I don't like to change nature. It was early in the morning. The sun just up but covered by clouds. It was very hazy also.

Your photo has terrific crispness to the focus. Your horizon line is nicely placed. The clouds lend to the stormy look of the water while still having a small contrast where the light hits, whitening the clouds, and this is diagonal to the whiteness of the ocean spray of waves, making a nice balance. I think you have captured the colors of the ocean magnificently. I like that I can see the brownish/green out in the ocean behind the waves, matching the colors of the shore in front. I can also see the distinctness of the color of this front wave from the bluer shade behind. Finally, my favorite effective part of this picture is the transluscence of the water in that big greenish blue wave to the lower right. There I can see the individual smaller waves within the big swell. Excellent work! Good luck in the contest!

Looks like big waves and overcast sky. It doesn't look like it is too warm this day. Love the half crested waves and the wave behind it waiting in line to crash on the shore. Great clarity and colors. God bless,

Thank you Thunder, Yes overcast sky an d big waves [4-6 feet that day] is right but it wasn't very warm, not for us here anyway. If I remember right in the lower 70's.

Really great photo here. You can see all the colors so clearly and sense feel the movement of the water. Good choice for a composition with the focus being on the crest of the wave coming to shore.

I do like this shot, I do believe your feet are wet. I like the low profile of the shot to allow you to see the crest of the wave.
Lighting is good as well as focus. The way the light shines through the wave shows a beautiful green.
The brown behind the first wave is a little distracting but still a nice shot.

Thank you so much. Not only my feed were wet. I got wet to my waist. Some dangerous shots.

At a focal length of 11 mm it looks like you had to get wet on this one. Very good focus showing detail in the breaking wave. I really like the green color of the water along with the brown rock. Nice lighting. I really like the low level of this photograph. Good luck in the contest. Thanks for sharing. Tom

Thank you Tom, Yes you are right I got very wet but could keep the camera almost dry. It's a trick. Go on your knees. Know when the wave brakes. Click the shutter. Jump up and back raising the camera over head.

A very well timed, balanced shot. Great focus and detail. Color in the water a foreground are very nice too bad the sky didn't co-operate. A very nicely done piece, thanks for the view.
