This is so lovely. I like the colours you have used for this. They stand out nicely and with the black interacted in the compostion it makes for an eye appealing artwork! Nicely done useing the PSP 9 and your technique!

Very nice work. Your composition is interesting with the main subject being so close to the viewer, gives a sense of peering into a clearing. Colors are great, gives a mystical feel to the scene. Strong initial impact, really draws you in and you wonder where you are. Lots of story telling. Great work. Peace.

This is a long way out of my zone.
Its not the style of work i would stop to look at,so why am i here,why dose this attract me to it,why do i find the colours so appealing,maybe i remember this place from my more experimental days lol.

My most favorite type of tree as well...so much so that I named my therapy practice after it :) This picture has a soft, rich narrative feel to it. The willow is light but strong. you capture it well.

The colors you have picked for this piece are so bright and eye catching! You are right about the willow trees. They do stand to be alone in the terrain. Have you ever heard of blocking your work in 3's? Imagine your paper to be in 1/3 sections and when you layout your picture use the full 1/3. I would suggest to extend the silhouette of the willow. I did this with the graphic editor but not nearly the quality you would do. I love the detail in the background and how you used background midground and forground. Again, beautiful colors! Thanks for sharing

A wonderful creation. I knew you were talking about the willow. Even tho it is the only one the butterfly doesnt' look alone. I love your choice of colors and adding the toadstools was a great touch.

This is a well balanced composition. Weeping willows grow in places most trees would absolutely drown in . there are types of willows that grow in marshy areas that ae prolific to the point of being a pest. I too love the weeping willow for they are so lovely particularly in wind. Gretchen

Funny you should mention that. That is actually going to be my next project, trying to paint a willow in a really strong wind. It's got to be like painting a woman with long hair on a really bad hair day...lol. Thank you so very much, Gretchen, for the wonderful review!! :)
