Wow, this is exquisite! It's a "hot" painting, you can feel the stiffness of the air, but I see the traveler is just refreshed in the oasis nearby; the sky is awesome, the entire image has amazing colors.

LOL. I think the weather here lately had something to do with this painting. It's been in the hundreds this past week, and in the 80's in the house. Our poor A/C is blasting max! Thank you so very very much for the great review, Nona! I really appreciate it, and here's hoping this heatwave will break soon. Maybe I should have done a snow scene instead. LOL! :) Shawn

Very well done. Lovely colors. Sky looks gorgeous and the oasis seems to emanate a glow. creates a nice mood as well with the title and picture of the traveler.

This should be a six. Where are they when you need them? Love the intense colors and illumination in this one. It is stunning. Landscape is well thought out and I love the red cloud formations overhead. Love it!

Now this one I really like. Brown is my favorite color and you have sure used a lot of it in this. The way the yellow just glows is awesome. The way you have the traveler in this is great. At least looks like there is water for him in this desert land. The detail, coloring, way you have the palms, the clouds in the sky are fantastic. This is just a gorgeous work of art. Just amazing how you do this.

Now that you mention it, I remember that you said that a long long time ago that brown is your favorite color :) Boy, how time flies! Thank you so very much for the beautiful comments and excellent rating, Anne. I truly appreciate it. :) Shawn

Wonderful digital painting, I love the way you have used the colors to show this hot place, warmth is all over painting. Composition is great, details most beautiful. Great presentation of something I'm not sure of, whether it's water or only a mirage of water, but it really looks amazing. Thanks so much for sharing this.

I want so badly to know how to do this. The colors are beautiful. The sun shedding it's light on the sky and desert are a nice tough. I like that the camel and man have a shadow. The palm trees on the right, even though they are not in focus makes the picture better. Good job.

Wow this is gorgeous and deserving of more stars than I have.
Love the composition completely.
The colours used are brilliantly chosen giving a sense of heat from the desert sands to the blazing sky.
The trees add balance to the image and the water rather than cooling the scene adds to the feeling of heat.
The traveler and his camel are well-placed.
Excellent work with great dramatic impact.
Thanks for the share.
